As humanity, we have spent nearly 100 days of no adventure or outdoor fun. But here come Phineas and Ferb are back with an adventure in the form of an animated movie named “Phineas and Ferb the Movie: Candace Against the Universe”. The family-friendly movie is all set to premiere on Disney+ on August 28, Friday. The movie has characters and basic storyline based on the animated musical comedy television series with the same name. The show was a production of Disney Television Animation debuting back in 2007. The series was officially released in 2018 and was received by the masses with utmost love and appreciation. It garnered a lot of following very soon. The original run ended in 2015 but the fans will get to relive all of that fun in the upcoming 2020 movie.
Executive produced by Dan Povemire and Jeff “Swampy” Marsh, Phineas and Ferb; The Movie is yet another adventure story. Brothers Phineas and Ferb set a course across the galaxy to find and rescue their elder sister, Candace. In the TV series, Candace was always the one trying to get her brothers busted for all the experiments and crazy adventures they go for. Still, she usually fails to do so in the movie, the sister gets abducted by aliens and discovers utopia in a far off planet where she does not have to worry about what her brothers are up to. The planet dwellers start to worship her, which makes her not want to leave at all.
The voice cast of the movie is new, and the makers plan to ensure the movie’s presence in this year’s comic-con@Home. Candace gets her voice from Ashley Tisdale; Dee Bradley Baker is Perry the Platypus, Alyson Stoner lent her voice to Isabella, Maulik Pancholy is the voice of Baljeet, producer Povernbmire is Dr Doofenshmirtz himself. Other voice actors include Bobby Gaylor, Olivia Olson, Tyler Mann, Marsh and David Errigo Jr. The movie also managed to bring aboard Ali Wong, Wayne Brady, Dierdrick Bader and Tomas Middleditch as voice actors, making this a really impressive team. The fans are glad that they don’t have to wait for a long time in anticipation of the movie’s release
The producers and creative team have a lot riding on this movie since a large group of the new generation will also be watching this alongside existing fans of the show. Interestingly enough, a large part of the viewing might be from college dorm rooms because the kids of 2015 have graduated from school by now. Hence the makers wanted a perfect blend of nostalgia and creativity to appeal to masses. Brand integrations of the movie include cross-category availability of products at Hot Topic, Amazon and BoxLunch from August 2020. Disney+ is currently streaming all the episodes of its original series.
